Luke is a mentor and a tutor at Inspirational Youth. Luke gained his vast knowledge and experience whilst working within a Pupil Referral Unit. Luke’s position as a lead tutor, which he held for 5 years, allowed him to work closely with 12-16 year olds that were excluded from mainstream schooling – either because of SEN or behavioural concerns. Whilst in this position, Luke also co-ordinated the BTEC sports programme and successfully lead the humanities course. Outside of a formal educational setting, Luke also worked as a community coach across London: Greenwich, Kent and Bexley.
In terms of academic achievements, Luke holds a BSc(hons) in Sports Science and Professional Football Coaching. Luke also successfully completed his PGCE in ‘Teaching in the Life Long Learning Sector’. Both of these achievements underpin Luke’s work with our young people.
One of Luke’s many strengths is that he able to use sport as a means to engage and influence the young people that he mentors. His tireless work as a BJJ and Football coach demonstrate his success and passion for the growth and development of everyone he works with.
